By Canton CitizenJames M. Duggan, 55, of Canton, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at home November 21 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Quincy, he was a lifelong resident of Canton. He graduated from Canton High School in 1976 and Bryant College. Jim worked as the operations manager for Republic Plumbing Supply for many years. He was a member of Wampatuck Golf Club in Canton; he enjoyed skiing, was an avid fisherman and boater, and enjoyed spending the summers at his house in North Falmouth. Jim enjoyed coaching hockey and baseball when his children were growing up.
Beloved husband for 32 years of Jill A. (Walberg). Father of Jessica L. Duggan and her wife, Kathleen Banfield, of Sharon, Michael J. Duggan of Canton, and Sarah E. Gale and her husband, Jeffrey, of Walpole. Devoted son of June B. Duggan (Geissler) of Canton and the late William E. Duggan, Sr. Brother of Nancy D. Lenhart and her husband, John, of Hingham, William E. Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Canton, Thomas P. and his wife, Katie, of Canton, and the late Judith Summers. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
A funeral service was held Monday morning, November 25, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
