Keenan, Paul F.
By Canton CitizenPaul F. Keenan, 87, passed away July 6 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in Boston, he attended St. Clement’s School in Canton, St. Mark’s in Dorchester, and English Latin High School. He enlisted in the Navy and served in the South Pacific during World War II. After his service to the Navy he went to work for Otis Elevator for many years and later for Delta Elevator before retiring in 1987. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing at DW Fields in Brockton and Cedar Hill in Stoughton, where he shot his age frequently through the years.
Beloved husband of Clare A. (Rich). Father of Diana Goroff of MD, Jane Thornton and her husband, John, of Canton, Clare Bishop and her husband, Charlie, of Wrentham, Nancy Curley and her husband, Pat, of NC, and the late Paul F. Keenan. Brother of Richard Keenan of Hull, Michael Keenan of Hanover, James Keenan of North Andover, Ralph Keenan of Walpole, Ann D’Andrea of Randolph, and the late Thomas Keenan, Marie Stafford, and Joseph Keenan. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass was held Thursday, July 10, in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery.
