Walking for Beth
By Canton CitizenDespite cloudy skies and off-and-on rain, more than 200 friends, family and supporters turned out on Sunday for the annual “Friends of Beth” Art Scholarship Memorial 5K walk, held in honor of the late Beth Spence Cann. It was the largest turnout to date and also marked the first year that all three of Beth’s daughters — Brittany, Danielle and Amanda — participated in the walk together.
The event raised more than $4,000 for an art scholarship given each year in Beth’s name to deserving Canton seniors. Beth, a 1981 graduate of CHS, counted art as one of her greatest passions.
