Boys’ CC finishes 5th at Hock championship meet
By Mike BergerThe Canton High boys’ cross country team ran well and finished fifth overall in the Hockomock League’s George King Championship Meet, held Saturday at Borderland Park in Easton. The girls’ team also competed and finished ninth out of 10 teams.
Boys’ coach Chris Elgar said his runners’ times were “phenomenal.”
“There were too many amazing times for me to count,” he said. “Only in the Hockomock League can we run this fast and finish fifth. We are confident with the same effort in two weeks we will be fighting for an all-state berth.”
