Ricky27 St. Patty’s Day Party
By Canton CitizenOn Saturday, March 26, the third annual Ricky27 St. Patty’s Day Party was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Pleasant Street. More than 120 people were in attendance and enjoyed a great night of celebration and dancing to the Easy Access band. Each year the Ricky27 Foundation honors a team for outstanding athletic achievement. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of this year’s award winner: the Canton High School South Sectional Field Hockey champions. Coach Fior Griffin, along with captains Allie Guenthner and Ali King, accepted the award. The board of directors would like to thank everyone for their continued support of the foundation. Proceeds from the event help sponsor scholarships for Canton High School seniors and support Canton Little League, Pop Warner, Canton Boosters, and many more youth organizations.
