Thanks for making 10th annual Luce Fun Run a success
By Canton CitizenDear Editor:
It’s hard to believe that it has been 10 years! The 10th annual Dean S. Luce Fun Run was held Sunday, May 1. Temperatures were sunny and comfortable, not like the oppressive heat we had last year. Everyone put their best effort in on both the Fun Run and 5K course. Teachers Sue McManus and Bridget Wade did a fabulous job of leading and guiding students around the school for the fun runs. Every child received a medal donated courtesy of Trophy & Awards.
The 5K race was a close one with only six seconds between our first male (Kevin O’Donnell) and first female winner (Kara Lynn Leonard). Following the race, refreshments were enjoyed from Queen Anne’s catering, and DJ Al Martinez kept us all entertained and motivated with some great songs! Principal Robie Peter was a great co-host and helped in announcing the raffle winners.
On behalf of the Luce Fun Run Committee we would like to thank the following individuals, businesses and organizations. Without your support and generous time and raffle donations, the 10th annual Fun Run would not have been as fun and successful. Thank you again for you kindness!
