Pinkham, Marilyn R.
By Canton CitizenMarilyn R. Pinkham (Robbins), of Canton, passed away on Mother’s Day, May 8, 2011, at Norwood Hospital after several months of failing health. Born in Taunton, she has lived in Canton for the past 59 years.
She graduated from Skidmore College and was a teacher in the Canton Public Schools for 24 years, retiring in 1986. Her last position was at the Galvin Middle School, where she was a math department supervisor.
She was longtime member of the Canton Garden Club, the Milton Hoosic Club and the Women’s Benevolent Union at the United Church of Christ in Canton.
She was a devoted wife and mother. Beloved wife and companion of 63 years to Charles W. Pinkham. Mother of Christopher W. Pinkham and his wife, Deb, of Freeport, ME, and their children – Emilie, Alec and Ben – and Lindsey R. Pinkham, and his wife, Deb, of Simsbury, CT, and their children, Matt and Dave.
At the behest of the family, visiting hours omitted and services are to be private. Arrangements will be handled by Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home. A memorial service may be held at a future date. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all of her caregivers, especially those affiliated with Norwood Hospital.
