Whidden, Mark V.

Mark V. Whidden, 56, of Sharon, formerly of Easton and Canton, died peacefully surrounded by his family May 17, 2011.

Mark worked as a carpenter for E.R. Houston in Dedham. He was a former civil engineer for the town of Sharon, and a former police officer for the town of Canton. He enjoyed skeet-shooting, woodworking, fishing, and also watching his grandchildren play hockey.

Loving father of Melissa A. Baker and her husband, Paul, of North Attleboro. Loving brother of Gary Whidden and Sandra Leone of San Antonio, Texas. Proud grandfather of Paul and Jeffrey Baker and proud uncle of Jonathon Leone.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours in the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, on Friday, May 20, from 3-7 p.m. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mark’s memory to the American Cancer Society, Pancreatic Cancer, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
