Champs visit State House
By Canton CitizenOn Thursday, April 28, players and coaches on the Massasoit Community College men’s basketball team visited the State House, where they were honored at a reception and introduced in the chamber for winning the Region 21 NJCAA Division 2 title for the first time in school history.
The team was greeted by state representatives Geraldine Creedon, Michael Brady, Christine Canavan, Louis Kafka and William Galvin, as well as Treasurer Steve Grossman, Auditor Suzanne Bump, and Governor Deval Patrick.
The Massasoit Warriors spent the better part of the afternoon touring the State House and meeting with members of the legislature, receiving well-deserved recognition for their hard work and exemplary play.
