By Canton CitizenBeatrice M. (Titus) Zoppa, 94, of Canton, died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Caritas Norwood Hospital.
The daughter of the late William H. and Mary (McGowan) Titus, she was born, raised and educated in Canton, where she had been a lifelong resident. Mrs. Zoppa was known for her great love of all people and animals.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Zoppa, her son, John Zoppa, and her siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Bender of Boxford and Barbara Soley of Rochester, NH, and her son, Joseph Zoppa of Canton. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and her longtime and closest friend, Gladys Knott.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend memorial services in celebration of Beatrice’s life at the United Church of Christ, 1541 Washington Street in Canton, on Saturday, June 11, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the MSPCA Development Office, 350 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130.
The Roache-Pushard Family Home for Funerals of Canton assisted the Zoppa family with arrangements.
