Three wins propel Canton A’s into playoff picture

By

The Canton A’s enjoyed a good week with three straight wins, improving its record to 8-6-1 and its standing in the nine-team Cranberry League. The top five teams make the playoffs.

As of July 3, Canton was in fifth place, one game behind Weymouth (9-7-1) and two games back from third-place Rockland (10-7-1).

With a week to go in the regular season, the A’s have a busy schedule with a lot of home games at CHS. Canton was due to play Braintree on Tuesday, Rockland on Thursday and Weymouth on Friday, with all games beginning at 6 p.m.

Canton will travel to Easton this Saturday, July 9, for a game beginning at noon, and then host two games at CHS on Sunday: Middleboro at 11 a.m. and Weymouth at 1 p.m.
