Youth Commission pool party a big success

Thank you everyone for such a wonderful evening at our end of summer pool party. We had over 70 Canton kids in sixth, seventh and eighth grades attend the event, which was held at the town pool on Bolivar Street.
This event would not have been possible without the youth commissioners in attendance. A big thank you also goes out to youth commissioners Dorice Khoury, Brian Greenwood and Meg Kennedy for providing the initial set-up support. Also, we would not have received the tremendous turnout without the help of our Police Department liaison, Detective Chip Yeaton, as well as the Canton School Department, the Canton Recreation Commission, Recreation Director Jeff Kaylor, Town Pool Director Sandy Hart and her team of lifeguards, and the Town Hall senior workers.
With the success of this event, the Youth Commission will be planning more great events to benefit the future of Canton. We encourage all interested in the work of the Youth Commission to find us on the town website or on Facebook.
