DPW to pick up residential storm debris

At the direction of the Board of Selectmen, beginning Tuesday, September 6, through Friday, September 23, the Canton DPW will pick up residential storm debris curb side. Storm debris should be placed along the edge of the street right of way so as not to block or impede traffic safety. A schedule will be posted on the town of Canton website on Tuesday, September 6.

The DPW will pick up what can be reasonably handled by one or two men and pass through a medium-duty wood chipper. Department representatives will not enter into yards to remove stumps or tree trunks.

A permit is required to leave yard waste at the Pine Street Yard Waste Facility. The $10 permit may be purchased at the facility or at the DPW office at Town Hall.
