Amara, Alma D.

Alma D. Amara, 78, of Bridgewater, formerly of Canton and Plainville, passed away November 25 at New England Sinai Hospital after a long illness.

Born and raised in Muncie, Indiana, she has lived in Bridgewater for the past two years. She loved to paint, read and travel and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph D. Mother of Diane Arnold of Bridgewater, Lisa White of Plainville, Joseph Amara of Middleboro, Matt Amara of Ohio, and the late Steven Amara. Sister of Edna Wiggins of FL. Also survived by eight grandchildren.

A funeral mass was held Wednesday morning, November 30, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Interment Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street. For guestbook, see dockrayandthomasfuneralhome.com.
