By Canton CitizenCanton’s own MatchingDonors.com was recently honored as the “Nonprofit of Choice” by the Hollywood Awards in Beverly Hills, California, at the 15th anniversary Hollywood Awards Gala. MatchingDonors was chosen from over 1.5 million nonprofit organizations in the United States.
Tuxedos worn by the MatchingDonors.com team at the awards gala were donated by Richard Lewis Formal Wear in Canton.
“We were honored to be chosen for this award,” said Paul Dooley, CEO of MatchingDonors.com. “It was surreal partying with George Clooney, Glen Close, Ben Affleck, Anne Hathaway, Quentin Tarantino and many other A-list celebrities.
“I was also delighted to hear from the CEO of the Hollywood Awards that we must have a very successful nonprofit organization because we had some of the best-looking tuxedos at the gala. I told him the tuxedos were actually provided by Richard Lewis Formal Wear in Canton. He then said he’d definitely get his tuxedos there when he has to go to galas in Boston.”
