Finnerty, Adeline M.
By Canton CitizenAdeline M. Finnerty (Brooks), 93, of Canton, passed away January 24 at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton.
Born in Framingham, she graduated from Mission High School in 1935. She worked as a clerk for the Massachusetts Department of Welfare. She has lived in Canton for the last 20 years and previously lived in Stoughton. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at Lost Brook Golf Club.
Beloved wife of the late Daniel G. Mother of Mary M. McNulty of Stoughton and the late Joseph D. McNulty, Noreen M. McAlister, and Sylvia A. Clark. Also survived by her son-in-law, Ernest W. McAlister, of Quincy, five grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral from the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, Friday, January 27, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Hellenic Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 601 Sherman St., Canton, MA 02021.
