MacDonald, Helen C.
By Canton CitizenHelen C. MacDonald (Torpey), of Canton, formerly of Roslindale, passed away January 29 at Faulkner Hospital.
Born and raised in Roslindale, she graduated from Roslindale High School and has lived in Canton for the last 20 years. She was the bookkeeper for many years for the family insurance business, MacDonald Insurance in Readville.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph. Mother of Joseph and his wife, Eileen, Daniel and his wife, Linda, Cindy Agapite and her husband, Sebastian, all of Canton; Laurence and his wife, Susan, of Franklin; and Helen Wernig and her husband, John, of Marshfield. Grandmother of Joe, Caitlin, Jillian, Lauren, Andrew, Christopher, Taylor, Brendan, Jaimee, Daniel and Scott. Sister of Kathleen Sneyd, of Roslindale.
A funeral mass is being celebrated at 10:30 on Thursday, February 2, in St. John the Evangelist Church. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations may be made in her memory to the Sisters of St. Joseph, 637 Cambridge St., Brighton, MA 02135.
