Gorham, Robert M.

Robert M. Gorham, 83, of Canton, passed away February 2 at Milton Hospital.

Born and raised in Dorchester, he graduated from Boston English High School and was a Navy veteran of WWII. He was the owner and operator of Gorham Fire Appliance in Quincy for many years. He previously was active in Canton Little League baseball and owned and raced thoroughbred horses.

Beloved husband of Kathleen A. (Berlo). Father of Robert M. Jr. and his wife, Robin, of Canton; John A. and his wife, Jeanne, of Westford; William J. and his wife, Patricia, of Foxboro; and Michael E. and his close friend Kim Sprenger of DE. Also survived by eight grandchildren.

A funeral mass was held Tuesday morning, February 7, in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Interment Canton Corner Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to the Canton Veterans’ Service Department, 801 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
