O’Brien, Robert J.
By Canton CitizenRobert J. O’Brien, 87, of Canton, passed away February 15 at the Copley Nursing Home in Stoughton.
Born in Boston, he was raised in Milton and graduated from Milton High School and was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He worked as a sales manager for Gould Corp. and Imperial Leasing, and after retiring he worked as a limousine driver for CTS in Randolph.
Beloved husband of the late Helen L. (Habel). Father of Denise E. Hart and her husband, James, of Plymouth, Robert J. Jr. and his wife, Deborah, of Canton, and Doreen E. Dawson and her husband, James, of Wilmington. Grandfather of Caitlin Tatarzyn of Marlboro, Robert J. O’Brien III of Canton, and Andrew and Matthew Dawson of Wilmington.
A funeral mass was held Tuesday morning, February 21, in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Interment VA National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations may be made in his memory to the Canton Veterans’ Service Department, 801 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
