Kelly, William J.
By Canton CitizenWilliam J. Kelly, 87, a longtime resident of Canton, died peacefully at the Milton Health Care Nursing Home on Monday, February 27, 2012. Mr. Kelly was the loving husband of Eleanor (Hayford) Deming and the late Anne (Gallagher) Kelly.
Mr. Kelly was born and educated in Boston and was a proud WWII veteran, serving in the US Navy. Mr. Kelly was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2095 in Canton and the Canton Town Club. He was a truck driver before he retired over 20 years ago.
Mr. Kelly was the son of the late William and Anne Kelly. He is survived by his sons: William J., Jr., of Stoughton, and Patrick J., of West Roxbury. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Courtney, Cassandra, Cady, Patrick and Sarah, all of Canton. Mr. Kelly is survived by his sister, Catherine Kelly, of Boston, and his brother, James Kelly, of Bedford. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held from the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home Thursday, March 1, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Canton.
