Thornton, Harry C.
By Canton CitizenHarry C. Thornton, Jr., 83, of Canton, passed away March 3 at home.
Born in Turtle Creek, PA, he was raised in Milton and graduated from Milton High School. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Thornton worked as a plant manager for L.E. Mason Co. in Hyde Park for several years before retiring.
Beloved husband of the late Alice Jaurene (Hall). Father of Naomi Sherry Thornton of Montana, Wayne C. Thornton of Hanson, Gail A. Thornton of Canton, and Gwynne Thornton-Tubb of GA. Also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Burial at the National Cemetery in Bourne will be private. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
