Guastalli, Benedette

Benedette “Betty” (Carroccio) Guastalli, 69, of Florida, formerly of Canton, passed away January 11, 2012.

Born on January 5, 1943, in Hyde Park, Betty moved to Canton with her family at age 16. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy. In 1962 she married Alfred Guastalli Sr., and together they owned and operated Canton Lumber Company and Canton Center Hardware. The couple retired and moved to Sunrise, FL, in 1986. After her husband passed away she moved to Naples, FL.

They had three children: Bernadette Gregson and her husband, Ken, of Sunrise, FL; Cheryl Gregson and her husband, Ric, of Naples, FL; and Al Guastalli Jr. and his wife, Kim, of Port St. Lucie, FL. She was also the proud Nana to five grandchildren: Michael and Matthew Gregson, and Anne, Trevon, and Alita Guastalli.

She also leaves her sister Linda Daly-Cerat and her husband, Robert, of Lake Wales, FL; her sister-in-law Adele Monti and her husband, Ed, of Quincy; her aunt Mary D’Attanasio of Canton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A service was held at All Saints Catholic Church on January 28 in Sunrise, Florida.
