He lived in Brockton for 55 years and enjoyed spending summers in Onset with his family and trips to Florida and Sweden. Harold was proud of his Swedish heritage and enjoyed keeping in touch with family there. He attended the Community of Christ Church and many of their activities.

He saw the best in everyone and everything. He was a friend for life of everybody he ever met, young or old. He loved and valued all children, especially his grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Harold was the beloved husband of Evelyn L. (Leonard) for 57 years. He was the father of Louise Hannington and her husband, Glen, of Canton, Sharon Fundin and her husband, David, of Brooklyn, CT, and Peter Larson and his companion, Trudy Thomas, of Middleborough. He was the brother of Marion Bourget and her husband, Edward, of Mansfield, and the late Judy Hickey and Tina Nyrell. His grandchildren, Nicole and Tevis Hannington, and Hillary and Shelby Fundin, were given the gift of time with their RaRa.
A celebration of his life will be held this summer. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all who cared for him during his years of “Old Timers” (Alzheimer’s) as he called it.
