Tuv, Ethel A.
By Canton CitizenEthel A. Tuv (Andersen), 86, of Canton, passed away March 7 at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton.
Born in Boston, she was raised in Milton and graduated from Milton High School and Northeastern University. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Lutheran Home in Brockton and also trained nursing home activity directors at Massasoit Community College.
She previously lived in Randolph for many years where she was a member of the Randolph Council on Aging and a volunteer for the Randolph Food Pantry. She was also a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brockton and a former member the Viking Club in Braintree.
Beloved wife of the late Sigurd Tuv. Mother of Karen Kelley and her husband, Joseph, of Scituate; Martha Getchell and her husband, Robert, of Canton; and the late Carl Tuv. Grandmother of Shawn Kelley of White River Junction, VT, Karianne Golemme of Rockland, Kristen Ward of Canton, Colleen Kelley of Holbrook, Allison Gillis of Scituate, and the late Sgt. Michael Kelley. Also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are private and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Friendly Food Pantry, 55 Old St., Randolph, MA 02368. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
