By Canton CitizenAlice R. “Reggie” Fennessey (MacGregor), 85, died peacefully on March 21, 2012, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family.
Reggie grew up in Dedham and attended Dedham schools. On April 21, 1946, she married the love of her life, John A. Fennessey. She worked for many years as a cafeteria manager at the John F. Kennedy School in Canton until retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club and the Canton Senior Center. Reggie was an avid bingo player at the Knights of Columbus in Canton, loved going to Foxwoods, and truly enjoyed spending time playing cards with family and friends.
Daughter of the late Willard and Mary MacGregor. Loving and devoted wife of the late John A. Fennessey. Loving mother of Sandra Dudley and her husband, Robert, of Sandwich; Regina Camarra and her husband, Anthony, of Canton; Jacqueline Diesso and her husband, Steven, of Wareham; Cheryl Kelliher and her husband, Neil, of Canton; and Eileen Micale and her husband, Joseph, of Norton. She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday, March 24, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park. If desired, donations may be made in Reggie’s memory to Old Colony Hospice, 247 North Main St., Randolph, MA 02368. Arrangements by the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street.
