Johann “Hans” Seisl, 73, of Stoughton and Canton, died Friday evening, March 23, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Originally from Austria, he was the Blue Hills ski director from 1967 to 1995 as well as the owner of the former Ski and Sports Loft in Canton.

Beloved husband of Dale (Phalen) Seisl of Canton. Cherished brother of Josef Seisl, Konrad Seisl, Ludwig Seisl, Gerda Schuppener, and Anna Silberberger, all of Austria. Also survived by his nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many friends of long standing in the south shore area.

He was predeceased by his parents, Josef and Gertraud (Weissbacher) Seisl, and his brothers, Balthasar Seisl and infant Konrad Seisl.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services in celebration of Hans’ life at the Roache-Pushard Family Home for Funerals, 210 Sherman Street, on Thursday, March 29, at 10 a.m. Expressions of sympathy can be made in his memory to the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center, 101 Columbian St., South Weymouth, MA 02190, or to the charity of one’s choice.
