Igo, Mabel A.
By Canton CitizenMabel A. Igo (Stone), 89, of Canton, passed away April 21 at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton.
Born and raised in Canton, she graduated from Canton High School in 1941 and was a lifelong resident of Canton. She was a devoted housewife and mother and previously worked at Draper Brothers in Canton.
Beloved wife of James J. Sr. Mother of Margaret Hickey of Canton, Nancy Spadea of Easton, James J. Jr. of Franklin, and Christopher J. of Marshfield. Sister of Eleanor Stone of Canton. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass was held Wednesday morning, April 25, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
