Lyme Disease Awareness

By

May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month, and the Cub Scouts of Canton Pack 77 now have the know-how to enjoy the summer safely after learning about Lyme detection and prevention from the Friends of the Blue Hills through its “Go Out and Play, Check Every Day” awareness campaign. The scouts got to see deer ticks, hear firsthand accounts of Lyme disease, including the experiences of fellow Cub Scouts, and become familiar with signs and symptoms of the disease. (Above) Emily Graham, an intern for the Friends of the Blue Hills, teaches the scouts how to do a tick check.
