Henderson, Henry G.

Henry G. Henderson Jr., formerly of Canton and Randolph, of Chelmsford, passed away suddenly at home on May 20.

Born in Weymouth, he graduated from North Quincy High School and attended Boston University. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. Henry was a commercial real estate specialist for 20 years with Reliance Insurance and later worked for Galvin Insurance in Canton for five years before retiring in 1999.

He was a former member of the VFW Post #2017 in Dedham and an active member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Norwood, where he was the past president of the Church Council.

Beloved husband of the late Dagmar M. “Margaret” (Anderson). Father of Linnea A. Briand of Chelmsford and the late Diane M. Mingels. Brother of Astrid Keenan of Milton and the late Judith Nason and Helen Carlson. Also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, Thursday, May 24, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral service in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Norwood Friday morning at 10. Interment Milton Cemetery. Donations in Henry’s memory can be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 24 Berwick St., Norwood, MA 02062.
