Lamparelli Sr., Frank J.

Frank J. Lamparelli Sr., 78, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly May 19.

Born in Boston, he was raised in Dorchester and graduated from Boston Tech and Norwich University. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was the president of the Frank Lamparelli Oil Co. in Canton for many years. Mr. Lamparelli was also a member of the Sharon Country Club and summered in Falmouth, where he was a member of the Falmouth Men’s Club.

Beloved husband of Helen A. (Kuzmich). Father of Frank J. Jr. of Canton, Michael D. and his wife, Susan, of Stoughton, and Rhonda M. Wight and her husband, Kevin, of Ballston Spa, NY. Grandfather of Nina, Liana and Francesca Lamparelli, all of Canton, Derek and Chiara Lamparelli, both of Stoughton, and Brandon and Lindsay Wight, both of Ballston Spa, NY. Brother of John, Vincent and Joseph Lamparelli.

A funeral mass will be held Thursday, May 24, at 10 a.m. in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Interment Canton Corner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
