Canton wrestler takes home gold at Bay State Games

By

Chris Sullivan

Canton wrestler Chris Sullivan took home the gold for the second straight year at the 2012 Bay State Games. He knocked off two New England prep champions — John Anderson in the semifinals and Christian Vallis in the finals — to win the 126-pound weight class.

A rising junior at Canton High School, Sullivan went 33-5 last season as a sophomore and became the youngest wrestler in school history to win a state championship. He already has amassed over 50 wins and is currently on pace to shatter the school’s all-time wins record.
