Library seeking donations, volunteers for book sale

By

The Friends of the Canton Public Library will be ushering in the fall with its annual book sale on Friday evening, September 6, and Saturday, September 7.

The library will be accepting donations of books for children and adults, as well as CDs in good condition. Donation drop-off dates are August 16, 23, 30, and September 6 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Friends of the Library are also seeking volunteers to help sort books on dropoff dates from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The Friends provide important support for programming, services, and equipment not available through the library’s municipal budget.

The Friends offer memberships to individuals at $10 per year, to families at $15 per year, and to seniors for $5 per year. Corporate membership is just $50 per year. The membership year runs from September 1 to August 31, and donors are reminded that contributions to the Friends are tax-deductible.
