Edward Steven Voke, 61, of Everett, a retired carpenter, died at his residence.

Born in Boston to the late Edward R. and Vera (Melenchuck) Voke, he was raised and educated in Everett where he had been a lifelong resident.

Mr. Voke was a member of the Boston Carpenters Union No. 33 and had served in the Massachusetts National Guard. He enjoyed fishing and boating.

He is survived by his sister, Margaret Hamblin and her husband, James, of Denver, and his brother, Robert M. Voke and his wife, Karen, of Canton. He is also survived by four nieces, a nephew, one grandniece, and two grandnephews.

Memorial services in celebration of Ed’s life were held Saturday morning at the Roache-Pushard Family Home for Funerals, 210 Sherman Street. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
