Rudy Jr., Joseph E.
By Canton CitizenJoseph E. Rudy Jr., 53, of Canton, passed away August 31 at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Born in Boston, he was raised in Avon and attended Cardinal Spellman High School. He has lived in Canton for the last 19 years and worked as a warehouseman for Shaw’s Supermarket for 22 years.
Beloved husband of Cynthia A. (Sykes). Father of Joseph E. III, Emily A. and Justin D. Rudy, all of Canton. Loving son of Joseph E. Sr. and Catherine (McGowan) Rudy of Avon. Brother of Laura Connor of Hull and the late Michael Rudy. Son-in-law of Charles “Sonny” and Vivian Sykes of Canton. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass was held Wednesday morning, September 5, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Canton High School Booster Club, 900 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
