Photo 1: Canton’s new deputy police chief, Helena Findlen, and newest sergeant, Chuck Rae, were introduced to the public and received their new badges at a ceremony held before last week’s Board of Selectmen’s meeting at Town Hall.
Photo 2: Miss Amanda Kennedy’s sixth grade class at St. John the Evangelist School in Canton recently raised $1,250 for the Susan G. Komen Fund, which supports breast cancer research and treatment.
Photo 3: Canton Garden Club members Marcia Tate and Vicky Chaisson plan the outside decorations at Pequitside Farm, one of the featured stops on this year’s Holiday House Tour, “Songs of the Season,” to be held Friday and Saturday, December 7 and 8.
Photo 4: More than 160 golfers and volunteers gathered at Brookmeadow Country Club in Canton last month for the third annual Scott M. Herr Memorial Golf Tournament. All proceeds from the event support the scholarship program founded in memory of Scott.

Photo 6: Betty Lethin, director of the Canton Area Helpline, was honored by the Canton Rotary Club at the first annual Community Volunteer Recognition Night held in late September at Lombardo’s in Randolph.
Photo 7: On September 20, members of the Massachusetts Hospital School Foundation as well as parents, selected students and supporters from several Massachusetts communities went on a tour of the State House and held an informational breakfast and presentation in Nurses’ Hall.
