Bruus, Marie R.
By Canton CitizenMarie R. Bruus (Cater), of Canton, passed away November 3 at the Hellenic Nursing Home.
Born and raised in Canton, Marie was a graduate of Canton High School. She worked in the data processing department for the Canton Public Schools for many years. Marie also worked at Andreotti Pharmacy for 22 years before retiring.
Beloved wife of the late Walter “Sonny” Bruus. Loving mother of Steven and his wife, Frances Bruus, and Cheryl Bruus, all of Canton. Marie is also survived by her cherished granddaughter, Breanne, also of Canton.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, November 7, in the Canton Corner Cemetery. If desired, donations in Marie’s memory may be made to the Humane Society of MA, P.O. Box 890127, 87 Wharf St., Weymouth, MA 02189. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
