Canton resident featured in Potters Place Show & Sale
By Canton CitizenPotters Place in Walpole will hold its annual Fall Show & Sale, featuring the work of Canton resident Debbie McCarthy, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 16-18.
This year’s theme, “Home for the Holidays,” has inspired a unique collection of functional and fine art pottery, both wheel-thrown and hand-built. Come browse the pottery studio, transformed into a dazzling gallery displaying unique vases, batter bowls, mugs, berry bowls, embellished platters, casserole dishes, bowl sets, cookie jars, plates, ornaments, sculptures, and more. These one-of-a-kind functional and fine art pottery items are available in price ranges to meet every budget.
Potters will be on hand throughout the weekend to discuss the craft of pottery and direct prospective students to upcoming classes for both adults and children. The studio will also be selling gift certificates, which can be used to purchase a finished piece or for attending one of the ongoing studio classes for children, teens and adults.
An opening reception will be held November 16 from 6-9 p.m., when you can enjoy refreshments and meet the 22 featured Potters Place artisans. The show and sale will continue on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Close to Walpole center and the MBTA commuter rail station, follow the signs to Potters Place, located at 127B Old West Street. Free admission and parking are available, and credit and debit cards are accepted.
Potters Place is a non-profit organization dedicated both to art and to community outreach.
