Jenkins, John D.
By Canton CitizenJohn D. Jenkins Jr., 56, formerly of Canton, of Brockton, passed away suddenly November 9 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.
Born in Norwood, he was raised in Canton and graduated from Canton High School in 1974 and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was the past grand knight of the K of C Council #2095 in Canton and a frequent volunteer for the Special Olympics. He worked as a driver for TLC Transportation in Canton and was a counselor for GROW in Randolph.
Beloved son of John D. Sr. of Canton and the late Anna H. (Walker). Brother of Mary K. Carr and her husband, John, of Canton, Theresa Coffey and her husband, Gary, of FL, William P. and his wife, Ann, of Stoughton, Eileen Jenkins-Clardy and her husband, Jeff, of Canton, and the late Frederick J. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday, November 15, at 10 a.m. in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Special Olympics, 1133 19th Street NW, Washington, DC 20036. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
