Joseph S. Kelley, 57, of Canton died November 29, 2012, in Caritas Norwood Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Boston, he was raised in Roslindale. Joseph graduated from Xavarian Brothers High School in 1973 and from Boston College in 1977. He previously worked as a teacher for the Brandon School in Natick. Joseph’s passion was music and art, and he enjoyed woodworking, painting, stained glass, and many forms of expression.

Son of the late Joseph and Margaret Kelley. He is survived by his former wife and friend, Patricia O’Rourke Kelley, of Canton. Loving brother of Maureen E. Wilfinger and her husband, Eric, of North Attleboro, Colleen K. Carr of Canton, and Kathleen A. Falanga and her husband, James, of Westborough. Beloved nephew of Mary Rose Floyd of Norwood and Elizabeth Ivanoski of Canton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday, December 4, in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Interment Canton Corner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph’s memory to the Baypath Humane Society, P.O. Box 23, Hopkinton, MA 01748. Arrangements by the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street.
