Hughes, Anne

Anne “Olga” Hughes (Szewc), 98, of Canton, passed away at the Hellenic Nursing Home on February 6.

Born in Fall River, Anne was raised in Detroit and has resided in Canton for 54 years. She was the assistant reference librarian at the Canton Public Library for many years.

Loving mother of William and his wife, Deborah, of CA, Thomas of Marshfield, Robert and his wife, Patti, of NH, and Anne Semler of Canton. Also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

A funeral mass was held Monday morning, February 11, in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the Canton Public Library, 786 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
