Grant, Florence R.

Florence R. Grant (Spracklin), 90, of Manchester, NH, formerly of Canton, passed away February 25 at the Mount Carmel Rehab & Nursing Center in Manchester, NH.

Born in Manchester, she was raised in Readville and graduated from Hyde Park High School. She has lived in Manchester for the past two years and previously lived in Canton for over 45 years. She worked as a secretary for Draper Brothers in Canton for 24 years and retired in 1988. She was a member and past officer of the Community Club of Canton.

Beloved wife of the late Norman W. Mother of Doug Grant and his wife, Karen, of Windham, NH, and Georgia Grant-Atkins and her husband, Paul, of Pacifica, CA. Grandmother of Penny Murray of Sunnyvale, CA, Jennifer Grant of Medford, and Michael Grant of Windham, NH. Sister of Josephine Athridge of Malden and the late Dorothy Murray, Evelyn Fitzpatrick, Wallace Spracklin, and Phyllis Lang.

Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, Thursday, February 28, from 6-8 p.m. The visitation will be concluded with a funeral service in celebration of Florence’s life at 8 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Burial private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Mount Carmel Rehab & Nursing Center, 235 Myrtle St., Manchester, NH 03104.
