Blue Hills Winter Fest
By Canton CitizenOver 150 people from dozens of towns gathered at the Friends of the Blue Hills’ Winter Fest on Tuesday, February 26, at the Blue Hills Ski Area. Participants enjoyed Irish music performed by Songs for Ceilidh as well as downhill skiing and a night hike, while local restaurants and cooks vied for the coveted title of “Best Chili Chef.” Event attendees tasted delicious chili recipes made by G.H. Bent Co., the Halfway Cafe, Cooking in the Great Outdoors, and Queen Anne’s Catering.
The judges included state representatives Walter Timilty and Bruce Ayers, Canton Police Chief Ken Berkowitz, Canton historian George Comeau, Randolph Town Council President Paul Meoni, and Milton Selectman Robert Sweeney. The title went to Queen Anne’s Catering, which also received the “popular vote” from attendees.
