McCarthy, John T.
By Canton CitizenJohn T. “Mac” McCarthy of Canton passed away at home March 25.
Born and raised in Stoughton, he graduated from Stoughton High School. He has lived in Canton since 1960 and worked for Clayton Uniform in Norwood for 15 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the American Legion Post #24, the Canton Town Club, and the Stoughton VFW.
Beloved husband of Patricia C. (Nardelli). Father of John T. Jr. of Stoughton, Rosemarie Cravens and her husband, Bill, of Canton, and Richard L. of Stoughton. Brother of Jean Rist, Alice O’Connor, Barbara Morrissey and Laura Jewett, all of Stoughton, and the late William E. Jr., Gerald, Michael and Robert McCarthy. Grandfather of Kelli McCarthy and Joseph Littig.
Funeral blessing Thursday, March 28, at noon in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Canton Veterans Service Department, 801 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
