Police investigate Sherman St. fires
By Mike BergerDeputy Police Chief Helena Findlen said police are close to identifying a suspect who may have started two small fires at a Sherman Street residence on April 2 and 5.
The fires did not need involvement from the Fire Department but apparently were set, according to Findlen. The first fire was in a trash barrel and the second fire involved an item on the front porch that was lit but burned out. “We are zeroing in on a suspect,” said Findlen. “There was no substantial damage, but these were intentional acts.”
