Journey Forward announces 1st annual golf classic
By Canton CitizenCanton-based Journey Forward, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bettering the lives of people with spinal cord injuries through exercise, will host its inaugural Golf Classic on Monday, May 20, at Brookmeadow Country Club.
Foursomes are $700 and include four tickets to the pre-tournament reception, along with four player bags. Sponsorships range from $300 to $15,000. Invited guests include Jermaine Wiggins, Bob Halloran, and Jonathan Elias, among others.
The event kicks off with a pre-tournament reception and auction on Sunday, May 19, from 6-10 p.m. at Brookmeadow Country Club. A limited number of tickets will be available to the public for $50 each. The golf tournament will get underway the next day, with registration and light refreshments from 8-9 a.m. followed by a shotgun start with lunch being served on the course. A “sweet” reception, helicopter ball drop, and awards presentation will conclude the day’s events.
Proceeds raised at this event will be split 50/50 between Journey Forward and The One Fund Boston.
Journey Forward staff is working in partnership with Blue Sky Sports & Entertainment to produce this year’s tournament. Blue Sky Sports & Entertainment has over 30 years of combined experience in events and athlete representation.
