Mazzoni, Elmo R.

Elmo R. Mazzoni Sr., 81, of Canton, formerly of Hyde Park, passed away April 17 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Born in East Bridgewater, he was raised and educated in Italy. He has lived in Canton for the last three years and previously lived in Hyde Park for 60 years. Elmo was a self-employed mason for many years before retiring.

Beloved husband of Florence A. (Santilli). Father of Robert E. and his wife, June, of Canton, Linda M. DiCenzo and her husband, Richard, of Hyde Park, Elmo R. Jr. and his wife, Yolanda, of Foxboro, Lorraine A. O’Connor and her husband, Joseph, of Canton, and Christina E. Powers and her husband, Brendan, of Canton. Brother of Violetta Gabelloni of Italy and the late Elsa Barucci and Elda Baldassari. Also survived by 13 grandchildren.

A funeral mass was held Monday, April 22, in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
