Doyle, John F.
By Canton CitizenJohn F. Doyle, 82, of Canton, passed away April 25 at the Epoch of Norton.
Born and raised in Boston, he attended Boston schools and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a foreman for the MBTA for over 20 years and retired in 2001. He has lived in Canton for 49 years where he was a member of the American Legion Post #24.
Beloved husband of Mildred I. (Gachon). Loving son of the late Nora Feeney and John Doyle. Father of Kathleen A. Doyle-Winslow and her husband, David Winslow, of Upton, John F. III and his wife, Tracy, of FL, Gregg P. and his wife, Nicole, of PA, Richard T. and his wife, Gina, of NC, and Brian L. Doyle of Norton. Brother of Ann Cholewinski of South Boston, Lawrence Doyle of Holbrook, and the late Thomas Mahan. Also survived by eight grandchildren.
A funeral mass was held Tuesday morning, April 30, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial VA National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canton Veterans Service Department, 801 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
