Aledda, Peter A.
By Canton CitizenPeter A. Aledda, Sr., 88, of Canton, passed away June 19 at the Hellenic Nursing Home.
Born in Brockton, he was raised in Boston and attended Boston English High School. He received a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in education from Boston University and was an Air Force veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He began his teaching career in the Attleboro schools and then went on to teach seventh and eighth grade for 33 years before retiring as the head of the English Department at Dedham Junior High School.
He has lived in Canton for over 50 years and previously lived in Chestnut Hill. He was a former member of the Canton Sons of Italy and previously played the accordion with a musical trio that performed at weddings and various other functions.
Beloved husband of Anne A. (Annese). Father of Mark P. Aledda and his wife, Martha, of FL, Linda A. Eardley and her husband, Arnold, of Canton, Peter R. Aledda of Mashpee, Joanne M. Robbins and her husband, Mark, of Millis, and Susan E. Fuller and her husband, Paul, of Walpole. Also survived by 11 grandchildren.
