Callahan, Susan W.

Susan W. Callahan (Ward), 63, of Canton, passed away June 20 at her brother’s home in Osterville surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Boston, she was raised in Dorchester and graduated from Cardinal Cushing High School in South Boston. She worked for Harvard Pilgrim Health Care in Wellesley for many years. She has lived in Canton for the last 33 years and previously lived in Stoughton. She loved gardening and was a former member of the Canton Garden Club.

Beloved wife of the late Daniel C. Mother of Joseph D. of South Boston. Sister of Roseleen Catalano of Yarmouthport, Maryanne Connoughton of Needham, Frank Ward of Osterville, and the late John B. and Joseph O. Ward.

A funeral mass was held Monday morning, June 24, in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Burial private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Jimmy Fund, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02215. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
