Curry, William J.
By Canton CitizenWilliam J. Curry, 57, of Uxbridge and formerly Canton, died suddenly on June 26 while on vacation in Edinburgh, Scotland.
He was the son of the late Marcelyn and Edmund J. Curry of Stoughton and former husband of the late Kathleen M. Curry (Sweeney) of Canton. He was the devoted father of Kaitlyn Barry and her husband, Jay, of North Easton, William P. Curry and his wife, Julianne, of Stoughton, and Patrick Curry of Canton. He was loved by his girlfriend Jennifer Butkiewicz of Uxbridge and is survived by his brother, Steven F. Curry, of Wareham. He was the loving and proud grandfather of Madeline and Emma Barry and was happily expecting his third granddaughter with the birth of William and Julianne’s first child later this month.
Countless relatives, friends, teammates, neighbors, and colleagues at Waters Corporation in Milford will fondly remember him. Bill graduated with honors from Bentley University, received his MBA from Babson College, and was a CPA. He was employed by Waters Corporation as vice president, corporate controller, and principal accounting officer. Bill will be forever remembered for his handsome smile, warm sense of humor, kind personality, and deep love for family and friends. He loved playing softball all over the world and enjoyed traveling, Patriots games, baseball games at Fenway Park, playing golf, coaching Little League, and sunny days at the ball field.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, Friday from 4-9 p.m. There will be a funeral mass to celebrate Bill’s life at St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton Saturday at 10 a.m., followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Canton.
